What is ISO 45001?
ISO 45001 is an international standard for an occupational health and safety management system. It concerns how an organization manages health and safety. Completing a training course is different from an organization obtaining management system certification.
OHSAS 18001 is an older management system standard that ISO 45001 replaced. Check the edition and scope named in any course or certification proposal.
What is OSHA?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is a United States government agency. It is not a single worldwide safety law or a professional qualification. OSHA Outreach course completion cards are not certifications or licenses.
What is NEBOSH?
NEBOSH is an awarding organization that provides health, safety and environmental qualifications. A named NEBOSH qualification is different from an ISO management system standard or a general course completion certificate.
Before booking a NEBOSH qualification, check the provider through NEBOSH and confirm the exact qualification, assessment and registration arrangements.
How should GCC professionals choose training?
- Confirm the requirements of your employer, project and relevant local authority.
- Request the course syllabus, intended audience and prerequisites.
- Check the awarding organization and the exact document issued after completion.
- Ask whether fees include examinations, registration and any required practical assessment.
- Verify provider approval directly with the relevant awarding organization when a course claims it.
